Fix My Jewelry Day

I'm guessing that you have a collection of past favorite pairs of earrings, long forgotten necklaces and broken bracelets, their glory days cut short because of some missing piece or worn down parts.  You'd love to be able to wear some of them again only this time with new flavor and flair.  It might just be time to have someone's help in getting some repairs and revitalization done to your piece/s!

I offer 2 hour sessions of simple jewelry repair where I share techniques and tips on how you can be proactive about mending your cherished pieces of jewelry.  Tools will be available and if you have your own, please bring them.  Some materials will be available for purchase, others for trade.

Certain repair work may call for techniques beyond what's covered in session in which case I offer my services at a reasonable cost or it may need the attention of a master jeweler in which case I offer referrals.

The cost for these sessions is a sliding scale of $25 - $50.

"I just took a wire ring making class yesterday afternoon and it was the best afternoon ever!  The class was at her house out back.  The day was winding down and as I was making my rings (which are so freakin awesome)  I couldn't help feel the love that the sun was radiating off the incredible veggie garden that surrounded us!!  Needless to say, not only was I feeling great because I was being creative, but I surrounded by and abundance of natural love as well!  I was in heaven!!

To begin, Kaya is one of the sweetest gals out there.  Just being in her presence makes you feel grounded and peaceful.  Her jewelry and her designs are incredible, and it is this soft spoken knowledge that makes her the bomb!! She is an amazing artist and a gifted teacher!

For the price of a class, I made three rings (not to mention I didnt have time to get my own bead, so she let me choose from an awesome selection of her own!) that I couldnt even buy for the price of the class! She has all the tools, is super encouraing and just so peaceful and grounded!  She is the best!!!

I first saw her goodies at Atomic Garden - on College ave in Rockridge - and fell in love with them!  They are gorgeous, affordable and you can see and feel the love they were made with!

I cant wait to take more classes!!!

Aloha

"I have several pieces of Spiritjoy jewelry that are absolutely amazing! Each is a unique design that plays beautifully with the stones Kaya Sattva, Spiritjoy designer, chooses for them. I can tell that she puts great intention and love into her work, and I feel that every time I wear them.

Recently, my daughter and I took a beginning jewelry making class with Kaya where she generously shared her jewelry-making skills (and tools and huge supply of stones and beads) with a small group of women. It was great not to have to invest in all the tools myself, as you have to do to take classes at most shops, before learning whether or not this was a hobby I would enjoy.  An afternoon never went so quickly!

I was amazed by how quickly I was able, with Kaya's one-on-one guidance, to learn to make my own lovely things. I left with two gorgeous pairs of earrings, a bracelet and a huge smile on my face. Kaya is a patient and encouraging teacher and a generous-spirited  human being. I'll definitely be taking more of her jewelry classes."
